Period 1: Chapters 10-11 are due Friday of last week. Chapters 12-13 are due Wednesday (even though our class will not meet due to the PLAN test). Chapters 15 and 16 are due Thursday (skip chapter 14 for now; we will be reading it in class). Discussion of morality in Huck Finn as well as tone and deeper connotations in a whole class circle discussion on Thursday.

Periods 3 and 5: Continued peer editing on Tuesday, 10/15.
- Period 3 will be in the Library computer lab to do grouped peer editing/revision
- Period 5 will be in the room 180 regular classroom to do grouped peer editing read alouds.
Period 7: Finish chapters 6-9 for homework, due Tuesday, and finish all questions from the study guide for chapters 4-7 and 8-9. We will be discussing influences on Huck's actions as well as Huck's independence.
Chapters 10 and 11 are due Thursday (with study guide questions).
Important information: The schedule for Wednesday 10/16 is for students to take the PLAN test for sophomores, the PSAT for juniors, or guidance run activities for seniors and freshmen. Also, Friday 10/18 will be a delayed opening to allow for teacher workshops in the morning. Regular classes will run on a delayed opening schedule, starting at 9:34. I will be at a teacher conference in Storrs, CT on that day so will not be present and available in school at all on that day.
