Period 7: Quotation Responses for Ch. 8-16 will be collected on Tuesday. Discussion of the Declaration of Independence and its relation to Huck Finn as well as discussion of Jim Crow Laws and the Southern Reconstruction as reasons for Twain's writing this novel.
Satire and new reading assignments begin Wednesday.
