Period 1: Have your roles ready for the following dates.

• Reading 4 due Monday 5/12
• Reading 5 due Wednesday 5/14
• Reading 6 due Thursday 5/15
• Reading 7 due Tuesday 5/20
• Reading 8 due Wednesday 5/21

We will be starting modified fishbowl discussions Wednesday where your group becomes the focus once for a 7-10 minute period while the rest of class observes and learns from your discussion.

Periods 3 and 8: Working on Narrative writing. We will be continuing with freewriting efforts in class using model essays for inspiration. We will also be practicing objective description writing and learning its uses.




Period 7: American Dream essay due Monday 5/12. We will be finishing the Great Gatsby movie on Monday as well. Tuesday-Friday we will be transitioning to our next unit using literature circles and the book Kindred or Warriors Don't Cry.

Reading and Role #1 will be due Friday, 5/16.
