Periods 1 and 7:
The Scarlet Letter Chapters 9-11 are due Tuesday with quotation analysis assignment.

In-class discussion of the text, reading chapter 12, and discussion of the problem of the "example" as a dehumanizing problem.

Chapters 12-16 due Friday.

Chapters 17-18 due Monday.
