Week of 2/27 through 3/3

Period 1:

Final discussions of Ethan Frome and its ending. Assigning ending rewrite/monologue writing assignment. Reading "Zenobia" by Gina Berriault.

Wednesday-Thursday: Watching the documentary Happy (due to a student connection) and writing a reflection on how it relates to and helps in analyzing Ethan Frome.

Period 3:

Answered question 5 for Act 2 on Monday. Reading from The Crucible and answering rest of the study guide the rest of the week.

Finishing study guide questions (18 point worksheet) and Act 2 on Wednesday. In-class writing on Act 2 Friday and watching movie.



Period 5:

Transitioning into Comparison/Contrast unit. Topic brainstorming, T-chart practice, and reading sample essays in preparation for students' own essays.


Period 6:

Transitioning into Comparison/Contrast unit. Topic brainstorming, T-chart practice, and reading sample essays in preparation for students' own essays.

Topic due and meeting in Room 107 computer lab Friday.
