Period 1: "Lady or the Tiger" discussed on Friday 9/13.
Period 4: We will discuss the short story "The Lady or the Tiger" on Monday, with a focus on your written homework responses from Thursday and the "game theory" style dilemma presented in the story.
Tuesday-Friday: We will discuss the Edgar Allen Poe short story "The Cask of Amontillado on Tuesday. Afterwards, we will be reading "After You My Dear Alphonse" by Shirley Jackson, due Wednesday (with an in-depth analysis of the mother's character). Thursday begins our study of the Declaration of Independence as we begin to put the pieces together concerning what "American" means and what "independence" means.
Grammar Quiz retake has been rescheduled for next Wednesday (period 1) and next Thursday (period 4) to accommodate dropped period days and our study of the Declaration of Independence.
