Week of 3/10-3/14

Periods 1 and 4: Rough Draft of Transcendentalism essay due:

• Period 1: Due Monday
• Period 4: Due Tuesday

We will be peer editing and revising these essays during the week. Wednesday we will be in the computer lab for revision (room 501 for Period 1; room 131 in the Media Center for Period 4)


Periods 3 and 8: Continuing our unit on Argument, Research, and Cause/Effect writing.

Reading Happy related articles and taking notes for homework due Monday 3/10.

• Viewing the documentary Happy in class. Full mini-project for this is due the day after we finish the movie.
• Discussion of research and the search for reliable sources.
• Beginning topic choice/creation (research question development)

Period 7: We will be drafting the final essay for the book Ellen Foster. Students will be in the computer lab room 107.

Rough Draft due Tuesday.

Final Draft due Friday.
