Week of 9/2-9/5

Welcome back to another year here at Amity! I will be using this website to post assignments, general guides for the work of the week, and helpful links.

Period 1: Introduction into English II. Course expectations, rules, and grading procedure are discussed. Journaling introduced.

• Quotation poster (roughly the size of a piece of computer paper) due Thursday 9/4.
• Grammar Diagnostic Quiz will take place on Wednesday, 9/3.
• Single subject notebook, turnitin.com slip, and signed expectation form due Friday, 9/5.
• PHOTO DAY for this class is Tuesday 9/9. Students will be going during English.
• Summer reading must be submitted by Monday, 9/8 or will receive a zero as a major quiz grade.
• "Harrison Bergeron" questions due Tuesday.

Period 2: Introduction to the course and overview of expository writing. Working in computer lab Friday on first essay and on signing up for turnitin.com. First essay assigned and will be due Tuesday, 9/9.
