Week of Nov. 17th through Nov. 21st

Period 1:

Chapters 28-29 are due on Tuesday.
Chapters 30-31 are due on Wednesday.
Chapters 32-42 are due Tuesday, Nov. 24th.

We will begin working on the essay assignment for the novel on Thursday. The rough draft of this will be due after the Thanksgiving vacation (Wed. Dec. 3rd)

Period 2: Tuesday we will be in class discussing research resources, finishing Freakonomics, and discussing the research done in response to this documentary.

Wednesday-Thursday we will be in the media center continuing our research as well as Monday Nov. 24.

Annotated Bibliographies are due on Tuesday (all your research for this essay should be done by this time so you can begin writing).

Rough draft of research cause/effect essay is due Wednesday Dec. 3rd.

Final draft is due Monday Dec. 8th.




Period 4: We will be working on our final essay for The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. A rough draft for this essay will be due on Friday Nov. 21 (for use in peer editing). The Final draft will be due Tuesday Nov. 25. We will be preparing to read The Crucible next week and the first two acts of the play will be due the day we return from the vacation (Dec. 1).





Period 5: We are going to be continuing work on tutor scenarios and working on setup for the writing center soft opening after the Thanksgiving vacation. Students will be assigned to projects that will ultimately make up the 20% "presentation" grade in addition to preparing classroom presentations for the writing center.





Period 8:
