Week(s) of Nov. 24th through Dec. 5th

Period 1:

We will be discussing the ending of the book on Tuesday and Wednesday and how to analyze and incorporate it into your essays. Your rough draft for your essay is due Wednesday Dec. 3rd. We will be peer-editing and giving feedback; however, your essay should be written to the best of your ability for that Wednesday so that you get the best quality of feedback.

We will be in the computer lab in the Media Center on Tuesday, Dec. 2 for finishing drafting of the rough draft for Wednesday Dec. 3.

We will be in the Room 107 writing lab for the purpose of revision on Monday Dec. 8 after spending Wednesday and Thursday in the peer editing process. Final draft is due on Tuesday Dec. 9.

Period 2:

We will be peer editing your annotated bibliographies on Tuesday Nov. 25th. The rough draft of your essay will be due Thursday Dec. 4th and should be the best of your work. It must include a works cited page and parenthetical references to receive the rough draft grade credit. This is to ensure the best quality of feedback on your writing.

UPDATE: Seniors will be viewing the fall play during this time slot on Thursday the 4th. As a result, peer editing will not happen and will be moved to the next class date, Monday, Dec. 8. I reserve the right to have earlier due dates for parts of this essay based on student needs on a student by student basis to check work in progress.

The final draft will be due on turnitin.com on Tuesday night by 11:59pm and a printout will be turned in (with rough draft and assignment sheet) on Wednesday, Dec. 10th in class.

Period 4:

The only homework for the vacation in the final draft of the Huck Finn Essay, due on Monday Dec. 1st. We are transitioning into The Crucible and will be discussing Puritanism and viewing a segment of the movie Monday Dec. 1st (after the essays are collected) and discussing the interactive story you went through from National Geographic.

We will be reading Act 1 for Tuesday and viewing the movie in conjunction with quotation analysis while reading at home for the rest of the week.

Act 2 is due Wednesday Dec. 3.
Act 3 is due Friday Dec. 5.
Act 4 is due Monday Dec. 8.
Quotation notes are due on Monday Dec. 8 along with the reading.
Quotation final analyses (5 chosen quotations, typed) will be due at a later date)
