Week of 5/26 through 5/29

Period 1:

Students will be working towards their final exam essay assignment. Students will be exploring a variety of poets and short story authors from American literature/history in order to choose an author. Due dates for the final exam essay are as follows:

Wednesday 5/27: Research two authors and at least two works by each of those authors to help in your search for your essay focus. Take notes on the authors and the pieces of literature to help you in your decision. I will be checking these on Wednesday.

Monday 6/1: Choice of author and two of your choices for individual pieces by the author.

Friday 6/5: Rough Draft of your final exam essay

Friday 6/12: Final Draft of final exam essay




Period 4:

Periods 5 and 7:

Homework will be working on an essay for Monday 6/1 on the definition of "identity."

Students should also be working for homework on preparing for their final speech assignment. Speeches will begin 6/10.




Period 8:
