Period 1:
Finishing study of satire and beginning Transcendentalist readings Tuesday.
Wednesday we will be taking the STAR Reading test in the Media Center.
Friday we will continue our study of Transcendentalism.
The essay rough draft has been pushed forward to Monday.
Period 3:
Finishing study of satire and beginning Transcendentalist readings Tuesday.
Thursday we will continue our study of Transcendentalism.
Friday we will be taking the STAR Reading test in the Media Center.

Period 5:
Wednesday we will be taking the STAR Reading test in the Media Center.
Thursday the "Home" writing assignment is due and we will be continuing with our reading of The House on Mango Street.
Friday we will be taking the retake of the Grammar Diagnostic. Use the previously taken one for study. Sentences will be the same but in different order.
Period 6:
We will be continuing our study of descriptive and narrative writing. Students should be working on their mini-description essays as we begin to read more narrative writing.
Period 7:
Students will be reading an essay on the need for discursive writing and beginning reading the Longman's Guide to Peer Tutoring. Homework will be a reader response on "Minimalist Tutoring" and continuing work on their narratives of their history as a writer. Rough draft is due Tuesday 9/22.
