Read "Sonny's Blues" for Monday. We will be discussing this and working towards a rough draft of our next essay so keep this topic in mind as you read and think about these stories.
We will have a graded discussion on Monday about both stories and elements of fiction and deeper ideas in them both.

We will be in the computer lab 107 Monday and Tuesday to work on the rough draft of the Mango Street essay.
Rough draft of essay is due Wednesday 10/7. We will be completing some self editing as well as working on revision of this rough draft at that time. Final draft is due Friday 10/9.
Period 6:
We will be in the computer lab 107 on Monday. Rough draft of Narrative is due Tuesday. Final draft of the essay is due Friday 10/9.
Period 7:
We will be starting our unit on MLA and research with an in-class webquest and student chosen mini-research assignment.
