Periods 1 and 3:
Chapters 10-12 will be discussed in class in detail on Monday. Chapter 13 will be due the next class period.
The Final Draft of the Major essay on the effects of solitude will be due Monday (Period 1) and Tuesday (Period 3) thanks to superior student negotiation tactics.
Period 5:
We will be starting Act 3 of The Crucible. Study guide for Act 2 and character chart for Acts 1 and 2 should be completed and turned in Monday.
Period 6:
We will begin our Cause/Effect unit with a discussion of the documentary Happy and essays on causes/effects. Students should begin to formulate ideas for topics for their own essays.
Period 7:
We will be working on our unit studying different scenarios that can occur during peer tutoring as well as starting a unit for students to create their own scenario/skit presentation.
