Periods 1 and 3:
The Crucible/McCarthyism reflection is due Monday 12/14. We will have time in class Monday (and possibly Tuesday) to work on the upcoming Identity essay, to peer edit, write, or ask questions as needed.
We will begin our transition into Ethan Frome with some introductory discussion topics. The first reading (Prologue and Ch. 1) will be due Friday 12/18.
Identity essay final draft is due Monday 12/21. Delay date of 1/4. Prologue of Ethan Frome to be read for Monday.
Homework for vacation to read through chapter 4 and complete the question worksheets.

Chapters 1-4 assignment will be due when we finish reading this in class. Afterwards, more reading will be required as homework. Students have been given a study guide for the whole book to use to keep pace with reading checks and if students wish to read ahead.
Chapters 5-8 questions due Thursday.
Chapters 9-11 questions due Friday.
Chapters 12-15 due Tuesday.
Chapter 16 is due Wednesday.
Period 6:
Final draft of research cause/effect paper is due Monday 12/14.
We will be working on a mini-definition essay this week, to be completed for homework (roughly 2 pages, 1.5 spaced).
Definition essay is due Monday 1/4. We will be writing a reflection that period on how the essay used the different methods of writing and why.
Period 7:
Tutor scenario project is due Wednesday 12/15.
Be aware of upcoming deadlines for projects for this class. Time is running out for the tutor/self analysis project!
