Week of 12/7 through 12/11

Reminder: There is an early dismissal day for students on Wednesday 12/9.

Periods 1 and 3:

Scarlet Letter preparation for Identity essay should be completed by Tuesday 12/8. Books will be collected in class that day.

Reflection on "Isolation" essay will be due Wednesday 12/9.

We will continue watching The Crucible to study how it connects to The Scarlet Letter and to 1950s McCarthyism.

Reflection on connection between The Crucible and McCarthyism is due Monday 12/14.

Final draft of Identity essay will be due Monday 12/21.



Period 5:

Reading and notes on topics related to McCarthyism are due Monday.

Working on McCarthyism projects. Use the samples in the studentw drive Wentworth folder to create charts.

Charts due Thursday 12/10.

Transitioning to The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.



Period 6:

Research Essay rough draft is due Tuesday 12/8. Works cited page must be part of this rough draft. Conducting peer editing and revising.

Final draft is due Monday 12/14. Due on turnitin.com by time of class.



Period 7:

Independent study projects to be worked on in and out of class. Do not forget tutor analysis project so be aware of writing assignment due dates and scheduling for your group's project.

Working in Mrs. Kane's class peer tutoring on  Monday. Working in Mrs. Clark's class Thursday.
