Periods 1 and 3:
Identity essay and chapters 3/4 question sheets due Monday. We will be studying examples of symbolic wording in relation to color, power/control, physical environment (winter), light, and other symbols used in the book Monday. Tuesday-Thursday we will be discussing these as well as Chapters 3 and 4 and the morality portrayed in the book thus far, judging Ethan Frome as guilty or not guilty of crimes against morality.
Chapters 5-7 are due Friday.
Period 5:
We will continue with our reading of Huck Finn, beginning with a study of satire on Monday.
Chapters 17 through 19 will be due Wednesday.
Ch. 21 through 23 due Thursday.
Chapters 24-25 due Friday.
Chapters 26-28 due Tuesday.
Chapters 29-30 due Wednesday.
Period 6:
We will be working on our final unit, the speech writing/presentation unit, for this week. Speech/presentations begin Tuesday.
Period 7:
Students will be finishing up independent study projects working on the website, publicity, and their tutor/self analysis assignments.
