Week of 9/22 to 9/26

Period 1:

House on Mango Street Question Set #3 is due on Monday (pages 31-76; note that you will not have to read all of the chapters to answer the quotation analysis questions but should read so that we can prepare for a discussion and upcoming essay regarding use of theme in the novel).

We will begin planning and pre-writing for the vignette assignment on Tuesday and will begin writing in the Media Center Computer Lab room 131 on Friday 9/26 (and Monday 9/29).



Period 2:
Rough Draft of Description/Example essay is due on Monday 9/22. Final Draft is due on Monday 9/29.




Period 4:
We will begin writing the vignette assignment on Monday 9/22 and Wednesday 9/24 in class in the room 125 Computer Lab in the Media Center. The rough draft of this assignment is due Monday, 9/29.



Period 5:
We will be peer editing the rough draft of the "History as a Writer" narrative essay on Tuesday and continuing work on revision and discussion of peer tutoring protocol Wednesday and Friday with new reader response readings.

Finish reading Chapter 3 "The Tutoring Process" for Wednesday. Reader response to this chapter (with reference to your peer tutoring sessions Tuesday and Wednesday is due Monday 9/29.


Period 8:
