Tuesday there is a delayed opening scheduled for teacher/staff development. It will be a D Day and periods will run according to the 2 hour delay schedule.
Wednesday sophomores will be taking the PLAN test in the morning and seniors will be having a guest speaker and college/career activities. After the end of the testing, students will report to class. Schedule for the day is as follows:

Period 1: We will be discussing the research webquest completed on Friday in class on Wednesday as a transition for our next book The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Background and introductory activities to follow Thursday and Friday.
Period 2: Working in the computer lab in the media center Wednesday on Comparison/contrast rough drafts. Rough draft is due Thursday. Peer editing will take place Thursday into Friday. Final draft will be due Tuesday Oct. 21.
Period 4: We will be transitioning into The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by building on the Twain/book research completed for Tuesday and the satire discussions of the previous week. Beginning reading in class.
Period 5: We will be discussing the field trip to UConn Tuesday and continue with our research/exploration of issues in writing/tutoring and discussion of research techniques. We will return to the media center computer lab Friday to continue our research.
