Week of 3/16 through 3/20

No School Friday

Period 1:

Next set of Independent Reading responses (3 posts to add to previous 2) due Monday.

We completed reading chapter 4 in class. Notes for the study guide will be used for a writing response after chapter 5.

Tuesday we read most of chapter 5. We will finish it on Thursday. Any absent should read to keep up with the classwork to participate in discussions and activities.



Period 4:

Chapter 5 is due Monday. Read chapter 6 for Wednesday. We will complete a writing assignment connecting art and Gatsby later this week.



Periods 5 and 7:

Rough draft of Comparison/Contrast essay is due Tuesday. We will be doing peer editing and revision Tuesday through Thursday.

Final draft is due Tuesday March 24.

We will be beginning our unit on research technique next week.




Period 8:
