For classes reading Romeo and Juliet, a full online text version broken up by Acts, scenes, and lines can be found here: http://www.folgerdigitaltexts.org/html/Rom.html
Period 1: Students are finished with their Great Gatsby work as of Tuesday. We will be transitioning to a unit on Shakespeare/Romeo + Juliet in conjunction with the theme of love and "dreams" from The Great Gatsby. Much of the play will be seen with quotations and segments pulled from the book for closer analysis.
Period 4: Monday we will take a short break from this to prepare narratives for the SLAM Storytelling in-school class trip on Wednesday. The rest of the week we will continue our study of Romeo and Juliet.
Period 5: We will be working on our Freakonomics discussions and research. In addition, students should be working at home on their annotated bibliographies of their four research sources for their upcoming essays. These and a rough draft will be due after the vacation.
