Periods 1 and 3:

Rough Draft of 2nd major essay due Friday 10/30. Final draft is due Monday 11/2.

Continuing reading of The Scarlet Letter. Chapters 1-4 to be discussed more in depth on Monday. In-class graded discussion to continue Monday with deeper overarching questions. Chapters 5-6 are due Tuesday.


Period 5:

Continuing our study of Puritanism Wednesday. Books assigned at that time so we can begin the play The Crucible.

Study guide questions 1-5 to be completed for Thursday.

Study guide question 6-9 for Friday (with accompanying reading pages 27-38).

Rough draft due Wednesday of Comparison/Contrast essay. Final draft due Friday 10/30.



Period 7:

Reader response in class Tuesday 10/27. Rough draft due of research essay on Wednesday. Final draft due Wednesday 11/4.
